Carol’s Second Act (CBS)

The incomparable Patricia Heaton starred in this multi-camera comedy, which shot before a live studio audience. This meant that in addition to writing two episodes, and pitching in the writers’ room, I also had to write pitch jokes on the fly during the live tapings. Outside of pitching, tape nights are the most exhilarating thing I’ve done in Hollywood.
